What If World

a story podcast for kids

What If World is a storytelling podcast for kids. Each week, Mr. Eric takes a "what if?" question from a friend and spins it into a story just for you!

88. What if I jumped on a trampoline and landed on a cloud? (with Jim Weiss)

Mr. Eric will be joined by the amazing author and voice actor, Jim Weiss, for a reimagining of the Jack and the Beanstalk, starring a little girl named Amalia, a magic trampoline, and a weather-controlling giant!

Lessons include: shutting yourself off from the world won’t make it a better place; not everyone you meet will share your passions, but stick with it and you’re sure to find a welcoming community!

And to hear the latest from Jim Weiss, check out The Count of Monte Cristo!

87. What if mommies lasso a dinosaur and give him butterfly kisses?

A story for the origins! Go back to a time before Zack was even born, when Mamma Jamma, Papa Loo, and Zizi rented their first house. Sure the house is a blueberry muffin, but surely no one will try to eat it, right?

Lessons include: there's no super power like practice; one's imagination is often scarier than the reality; many of the best inventions are built using other great ideas.

82. What if ninja turtles could fly and birds could cry?

Uh-oh, a portal got opened to What Is World last week and Cthunkle used it to get back to What If World! Meanwhile, Charlotte Songbird starts feeling less special when she finds out that everyone she meets can fly. Upset, she finds her way to a place where no one deals with their emotions. Could it be another one of Cthunkle’s evil schemes?

Lessons include: constantly comparing yourself to others can make anyone unhappy; no amount of super-powers can teach you to deal with your own emotions.

81. What if Fair Elise got really frustrated with Alabaster Zero and teleported him to What Is World?

When a stray spell from a frustrated fairy flings Alabaster into the real world, he’ll have to finally take responsibility for his own actions! Will he learn to take his job seriously, or will he be stuck at Mr. Eric’s house forever?
